Empower has established an excellent track record with the public sector, particularly in the area of economic development and regeneration. We have managed a number of multi million pound regeneration programmes and enabled many to develop forward strategies and exit strategies.
We have also supported many local authorities to engage with the voluntary and community sectors.
Partnership working
We have worked with a number of local authorities to develop effective partnerships through the development of Compact and the facilitation of a number of cross sector partnerships. We assisted a County Council in preparing for their Comprehensive Performance Assessment, specifically in relation to community engagement.
Impact Assessments
Empower has provided Kent County Council, Derby Council, London Borough of Hounslow and London Borough of Brent with an impact assessment in relation to their enrolment retention and achievement levels of adult learners and offered recommendations for improvement
Strategic Reviews
Empower has provided Strategic Reviews (following the Master-planning model) for both Caistor and Market Rasen market towns. These brought together all current local, sub regional and regional strategies that impacted on the market towns and offered recommendations for cross cutting and implementing strategies for the benefit of those communities

Coaching and mentoring
The benefits of executive coaching has long been recognised within the private sector. Empower brings these benefits to the public sector with our qualified coaches and mentors who can provide support from senior level coaching, to non- managerial supervision. We can support individuals and teams to achieve goals and objectives or help prepare individuals for a new role or promotion. Coaching and mentoring is seen as one of the most cost effective methods of developing individuals and organisations and the improvements are generally achieved quickly and results described as exceptional
Surveys and feasibility studies.
We can provide a range of surveys including full household surveys (door to door; telephone and postal) and achieve response rates well above the norm.
We focus on ensuring that we elicit feedback from all sections of the community in particular those most marginalised or described as ‘hard to reach’. We have substantial experience engaging ethnic minority communities, young people, the elderly, those with mental health issues and ex offenders.
